New Novel Chronicles Harrowing Iraq War Adventures

Historians often bemoan the lack of primary sources in ancient conflicts. There will be no such lack for the recent Iraq War. David Westbrook and Diyar Alhusseini have collaborated to produce the new novel “An Uncommon Friendship: During the War in Iraq” (published by AuthorHouse). Though fictional, it is based on Westbrook and Alhusseini’s own experiences.
“An Uncommon Friendship” is about a journey to America. The main characters are Dan and Nadia. “Their friendship during a very violent period in Iraq is what made everything possible,” Westbrook notes. “All that happens in this book has its basis in this friendship, even Nadia’s reaching America.”
Westbrook’s own service in Iraq add flavor to the story, but Alhusseini was uniquely positioned to learn about the war up-close: her father was Saddam Hussein’s defense attorney. He was standing next to the former dictator when he was hanged. Her family saw bloodshed and terror before finally escaping. They were targeted for assassination because of her father’s assignments.

About the Author
David Westbrook, 63, has lived in Arizona all his life except for the years he spent abroad. Westbrook served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army Rangers. He was wounded and received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Air Medal.
Westbrook also served four and half years in Iraq with Blackwater Security USA. He has been a cow rancher in Arizona all his life. He has a Bachelor of Arts in education from Arizona State University. Westbrook taught in the Arizona Public Schools and was an educator with the Arizona Department of Corrections.
Diyar Alhusseini, 19, and Westbrook wrote the book together. She was born in Iraq, and lived there until her family escaped the violence and went to Istanbul, Turkey. They were there for 8 months. She and her family are now in Arizona.

a? profile set of morph/bodyguard works well in corruption, I used it for one match and I didn’t die once
@GamersBeverage getting a multiplayer playable character usually means u have assassinated that target in story mode?
@TripleM000 I think its if you played brotherhood multiplayer but i am not postive?

@TripleM000 You have to have? Assassin’s Creed:Brotherhood and played Multiplayer in this game,some ppl say that u have also to reach level 50 on Brotherhood,but idk about that.

@TripleM000 That’s weird. I got her unlocked due to being 50 on Brotherhood (Xbox though).
She wasn’t on the character selection screen until 2 days after the? game released and she was automatically unlocked. When I first played on the 14th and 15th she wasn’t there at all.
Maybe she’ll unlock after a couple of days?
Have you seen anyone on PC using her yet?

@CoyoteRys The meter starts at discreet. When your target is in your line of sight (indicated by the compas lighting up, or the edge of the portrait in the upper right corner lighting up), then the meter starts to charge as long as you don’t run. If the targets exits your line of sight, the meter starts to drop back to discreet. Killing a target at the same time? he tries to stun you will result in the meter dropping back to discreet (unless it’s already lower than that).
Do you need to target lock in order to charge up the kill meter? I swear mine never goes? higher than discreet, and I’m not running around like a goof.
This gameplay was taken only days before the game’s release and most of the things in? the gameplay looks different like for example, the portrait of his targets on the top right hand corner
