Quite honestly, I wouldn’t. Friends stick by you no matter what and you are not responsible for everything they do or say either. Most people that join gangs at a young age regret their affiliation with them within five years. Usually this is after going to so many funerals.

Both my brothers joined gangs for the same reason you listed. And then they found themselves in a gang war against one another. Now one of my brothers is in hiding and the other one is in constant pain because of the three bullets he took.
